“Fashion For Bold Beautiful Dreamers” is the vibe for the London based womenswear brand Yemzi. The labels founder, Elizabeth ‘Yem’ Akingbade, is influenced by her Nigerian heritage and British upbringing. Bold prints, soft fabrics and youthful cuts, all designs are made for fearless dreamers who are ready to show up in the world unapologetically feminine and fierce.
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Elizabeth ‘Yem’ Akingbade is a womenswear designer from Bournemouth, living in South London, England. She has an eye for patterns in nature, a love of vibrant colour palettes, and a desire to empower women. She entered the industry upon graduation from UAL’s London College of Communicarion, pitching her designs to independent boutiques in Europe. Yem’s talent, desire to fulfil her childhood dreams of becoming a fashion designer, and make it happen approach served as a catalyst for the empire she’s building.
